Treat the complete inlaid surface with care, including the marble, inserted materials and joints. Ask the seller for finish-specific instructions before trying a new cleaner or sealer.
A gentle everyday routine
Use a soft cloth and a suitable neutral stone cleaner or mild soapy water. Follow the cleaner's instructions, rinse away residue and dry with a soft cloth. Blot spills promptly.
Protect the finish
Keep vinegar, lemon and abrasive cleaners away from marble. Use coasters and protective mats, and lift objects rather than dragging them. Sealing can reduce staining but does not make stone stain-proof.

When to stop cleaning
For etching, deep scratches, loose inlay or an unknown stain, consult a qualified stone restorer. Avoid improvised chemical mixtures and home polishing experiments.
