Mark the footprint
Use removable tape or paper to mark the proposed top. Walk around it, pull out nearby chairs and check access to cupboards or doors.
Check height and access
Measure the furniture beside the table and clarify total height including the top. Check doorways, stairs and lifts for the packed shipment as well as the assembled item.
Send one clear specification
State the units for every measurement and distinguish length, width, thickness and height. If using an existing base, include its support layout and ask for compatibility confirmation.
